Peter Franco is an educator dedicated to unlocking the academic potential of his students. With over ten years of experience in test preparation and curriculum development, he specializes in guiding students through the SAT, ACT, and GRE exams. Peter has worked with hundreds of students, helping them achieve significant score improvements and gain admission to their dream schools.

Peter’s journey into education began after earning a near-perfect score on the GRE — much to his surprise after a long hiatus from math. Having taken the SAT only once in high school without any tutoring, he understands the challenges students face when starting their test prep journey. This personal experience allows him to empathize with students from a range of learning backgrounds. He believes that with the right guidance and personalized instruction, every student has the potential to excel.

In addition to one-on-one tutoring, Peter served as the Director of Assessment at a national test prep company. In this role, he led a team in creating SAT and ACT preparatory materials, including practice tests and instructional content. His work in curriculum and assessment development has given him a deep understanding of standardized tests and the ability to provide students with up-to-date strategies and resources.

Peter’s teaching philosophy centers on building confidence through understanding. He fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable tackling challenging problems. By focusing on critical thinking and problem-solving skills, he prepares his students not just for tests but for future academic inquiry.

Peter holds a degree in cinema and media studies from Carleton College. When he’s not tutoring, you might find him playing club rugby for the Boston Ironsides, exploring the city through food, or getting lost in a good book or (often bad) movie.
